For those of you that know literally nothing about basketball and have only a cursory interest in that sport with the orange ball, Ray Allen was a back-up shooting guard for the Miami Heat and Mike Miller was a back-up forward and guard for the Heat before being amnestied.
As Brad reported earlier today, the Cavs have about $27 million in cap space. If the Cavs were to offer ANYONE a max contract, they'd still have close to $4 million in cap. Allen would likely require little more than the vet minimum and Miller could be had for some chunk of that $4 million.
If either or both of these guys were to sign, they would be able to easily replace the production of the departing Jarret Jack and Sergey Karasev. The Cavs still have a void at big man in the shape of Tyler Zeller.
And it's worth mentioning that the Kevin Love trade market is still bubbling and Tony Rizzo is reporting a potential three team trade involving Love and number one overall pick Andrew Wiggins.
