Today's DYL is long, but also an important reminder that the Dunk Contests of today's NBA are absolutely terrible. Vince Carter shows us what it really means to be a Dunk Contest champion. To start off the contest, Carter begins with a reverse-360 degree-windmill dunk. No biggie. The crowd, commentary, and judges all are in absolute shock. Did I forget to mention that he only misses on a single attempt out of a total 5 dunks?
Seriously folks, I honestly don't know if the domination that Carter demonstrated in this contest will ever be surpassed. There were no theatrics, props, or anything of the sort to make this memorable. Just pure skill, talent, athleticism, and creativity. This contest is why jumping over a Kia Optima won't compare to the greatest dunks in all of history. (Sorry Blake Griffin. At least you're still in the playoffs).
