Let me bring you back to a time when the dunk contest didn't suck. It was 1986 and one of the shortest players to ever play in the NBA was competing in the dunk contest. Standing just 5'6", Spud Webb was clearly at a disadvantage going into the contest. Bare in mind, this was the era of the dunk contest where you didn't get near unlimited tries to complete a dunk. You're graded on how well you performed it, whether it goes in or not.
This video is a bit long, but entirely worth watching, if not only to see a guy look like he's jumping off of a trampoline into the air on every single dunk he makes. Not only does Webb dunk it, he ends up winning the whole thing, making him the shortest man to ever win the contest (suck it Nate Robinson). Now take this as a lesson kids: if you ever think you're too short to play basketball, you probably are (unless you have springs for legs).
